Roses for Residents is a new initiative dedicated to bringing joy and connection to aged care residents through the simple act of giving roses.
We are committed to working closely with aged care facilities, residents, and their families to ensure all photos and videos shared on this page are used with full consent and in line with aged care standards, privacy laws, and confidentiality requirements.
Protecting the dignity and wellbeing of residents is our highest priority, and every image or video will reflect the respect and care that guide everything we do.
Donations and Roses
• Donors will not receive physical roses. Donations provide roses directly to residents through Roses for Residents.
• Every $10 raised provides one rose for a resident.
• There is also an option to buy two roses for two residents for $15. This option is limited to one purchase per donor per transaction.
• Custom donation amounts are accepted.
• Monthly subscription donations of $2, $5, $10, or $20 will go toward roses and associated costs.
For example:
$2 a month buys two roses over twelve months
$5 a month buys six roses over twelve months
$10 a month buys twelve roses over twelve months
$20 a month buys twenty-four roses over twelve months
​Use of Funds
• All funds raised are used to cover the cost of roses, delivery expenses, packaging, administration, fuel, and other costs required to operate Roses for Residents.
• Once enough donations are received to provide a rose for every resident in a nursing home, Roses for Residents staff or volunteers will personally deliver them.
• If any roses remain (for example, if a resident has passed away), they will be given to a staff member or visiting family.
​Subscriptions
• Subscription donations are processed automatically each month.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time by the donor through their payment provider or by contacting us directly.
• Any payments already processed prior to cancellation are non-refundable.
Deliveries to Nursing Homes
• Roses for Residents works with nursing home providers to arrange dates and times for deliveries.
• Due to rules and regulations, nursing homes may occasionally go into lockdowns where visitors cannot access the facility.
• In these cases, Roses for Residents may leave the roses with staff to distribute to residents or postpone that delivery and redirect to another nursing home.
• Roses can last up to 10 days in the right conditions, and we will always endeavour to ensure they are delivered as intended.
• Delivery times may vary depending on coordination with each facility.

• Donations made to Roses for Residents are not currently tax-deductible.
​Volunteers and Staff
• Roses may be delivered by Roses for Residents staff or approved volunteers.​​

Privacy Policy
• We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
• Personal details collected (such as your name, email address, or payment information) are used only for processing donations, managing subscriptions, and providing updates.
• Payment details are processed securely through our third-party payment providers, and we do not store credit card information.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal details with third parties, except where required by law or for essential services related to processing your donation.
• You may request access to or correction of your personal information at any time by contacting us.
• By donating or subscribing, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
​Liability and Disclaimer
• Roses for Residents will make every effort to deliver roses as described. However, we are not liable for delays, supplier shortages, seasonal availability, or events outside our control that may affect delivery.
• While we strive to ensure roses are delivered to residents as intended, substitutions or adjustments may be made when necessary.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roses for Residents is not responsible for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from participation, donations, or delivery of roses.
​Refunds
• All donations are considered final and non-refundable.
​​Seasonal Price Increases
• Roses for Residents does not purchase roses around Mother’s Day, Valentines Day or Christmas due to significant price increases from suppliers during these periods.
• Deliveries may be scheduled before or after these dates to ensure residents still receive roses without the added seasonal cost.
Social Media and Website Updates
• Updates may be shared on our website, social media, or by email to show the impact of donations.
​Changes to Terms
• We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective once published on our website.
• It is the donor’s responsibility to review the Terms and Conditions regularly.

Business Packages

Purpose of Sponsorship
• The purpose of our business sponsorships is to provide your business with positive community exposure through acknowledgements such as social media posts, website listings, and other agreed promotions.
• In turn, your sponsorship helps us provide roses for nursing home residents and cover the costs needed to deliver this initiative.
Sponsorship Inclusions
• Each sponsorship package includes specific benefits (such as social media mentions, logo placement on our website, or acknowledgements).
• Roses for Residents will make reasonable efforts to deliver these inclusions as described.
Acknowledgements and Promotions
• Sponsorship acknowledgements (such as Facebook or Instagram posts) are subject to the availability and policies of those platforms.
• We will make every effort to ensure acknowledgements are visible and professional, but we cannot guarantee specific engagement outcomes such as likes, shares, or comments.
• Sponsors are responsible for providing accurate business information, logos, and any required promotional content.
• Sponsors confirm that they own, or have the right to use, any logos, images, or content they supply to Roses for Residents.
Sponsorship Term
• Sponsorship benefits are provided for the duration stated in the package description.
• If no timeframe is stated, acknowledgements will be made within a reasonable period after payment is received.
Payments
• All sponsorship payments must be made in full before benefits are delivered.
• Payments are non-refundable once any part of the agreed inclusions have been provided.
Tax Position
• Businesses may be able to claim sponsorship costs as a marketing or promotional expense (please seek independent tax advice).
• Sponsorships are not charitable donations and are therefore not tax-deductible as donations.
Use of Funds
• Sponsorship funds support both the delivery of roses to residents and the operating costs required to run Roses for Residents.
• This includes wages, travel, fuel, delivery fees, and administration.
Right to Refuse Sponsorship
• We reserve the right to decline sponsorship from any business that does not align with our values or that may harm the reputation of Roses for Residents.
Changes to Packages
• We may update or adjust sponsorship packages and their inclusions from time to time.
• Any significant changes will be communicated before payment is made.
Liability
• Roses for Residents will not be liable for any loss, damage, or costs arising from the sponsorship, except where required by law.
• Sponsors remain responsible for their own business practices and compliance with relevant advertising and promotional standards.
Termination
• Roses for Residents may withdraw or cancel a sponsorship arrangement if a sponsor engages in conduct that could harm our reputation, residents, or community trust.
Privacy
• We collect and use sponsor details such as business name, logo, and contact information for the purpose of fulfilling sponsorship benefits and promoting your business as part of this initiative.
• We will not sell or share your information with third parties for unrelated purposes.
• By becoming a sponsor, you consent to your business name and logo being displayed on our website, social media, and other agreed promotional materials.
Governing Law
• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and The Commonwealth of Australia.
